I'm Melanie! I studied Marketing at Xavier University in Cincinnati, I’m an Applied Jewelry Professional and Certified Sales Associate with the GIA and AGS respectively, and I’m currently studying gemology online with the GIA. I've worked in jewelry for the past 5 years, but I’ve worked in retail since I was 15. Working for a family business, such as Miner’s North, is incredibly important to me because of my dad. He owned a high end men’s clothing store for 35 years in the suburb where I grew up, so I’m grateful that I get to start my career with such an amazing local business. I love the jewelry industry because usually when people go to a jewelry store, they’re celebrating something! Whether it be an engagement, wedding, birthday, anniversary, etc. People are genuinely excited, and want to talk with me about something I’m passionate about. I really love getting to know people and building that feeling of trust. I hope customers view me more as just a friend giving them jewelry advice, and less like a salesperson pressuring them into a purchase. I’m so thankful for this career opportunity, and I can’t wait to meet all of our amazing customers! I’m excited to help you pick out the perfect gift for your next milestone moment!!
